Wills
Why do I need a Will?
A Will or Last Will and Testament is a legal document that gives instructions on distribution of your assets, guardianship of your children and other factors after your death.
Having a properly drafted Will is extremely important. If you pass away without a proper Will, the courts will step in and make decisions about who will receive your assets and when, and who will be appointed as your children's guardian. A court’s decisions on the selection of your children’s guardian or estate executor (administrator) might not be the person you would have chosen. Without a valid Will you give up the decisions about who will inherit your assets, who will care for your children, and who will manage your estate.
A valid Will will make certain that your wishes are carried out to your specifications and will prevent any delays in finalizing your estate.
